Join the Celebrations: King Charles III's Coronation Ceremony and Concert

On May 6th, 2023, the world will witness a historic moment as His Majesty King Charles III ascends to the throne of the United Kingdom.

The coronation ceremony, which will take place at the iconic Westminster Abbey in London, will be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury. The event will be a grand celebration of British tradition and culture, with dignitaries, politicians, and members of the royal family in attendance.

To make this national event more accessible to everyone, big screens will be set up in Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole, allowing people to watch the ceremony live. In Bournemouth, the screen will be located in the Lower Gardens, just off The Square, and will provide an ideal location for picnics and other festivities. Visitors are encouraged to bring their own deckchairs or picnic blankets and to visit Picnic Park Deli for supplies!

In addition to the screening of the coronation ceremony, a range of activities and entertainment will be available for visitors throughout the day. A variety of musical acts, buskers, and street performers will keep the crowds entertained during the screenings and into the afternoon. Visitors can also enjoy live music, maypole dancing, fancy dress competitions, face painting, and food stalls.

On May 7th, a special Coronation Concert will be held and broadcast live from Windsor Castle, featuring some of the best musical talents from the UK and around the world. The concert promises to be a memorable event, celebrating the ascension of King Charles III and the rich culture of the United Kingdom.

As the UK celebrates this historic moment, people from all over the world can join in the festivities and be a part of this momentous occasion. Whether you're in Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole, or watching from home, the coronation ceremony and concert are not to be missed. Join the celebrations, and witness history being made.
